Just finished, for the second or third time, The Shining. Part of what I love so much about that book (and the movie) is the sheer sense of isolation in setting and how that contributes to the unease that permeates throughout. What are some other thriller books that have an isolated setting with characters slowly going mad? Would love to hear some ideas 🙂
