To add context: I’m looking for a book that helps figure out your own self identity and values. I feel in this social media driven society – I’ve lost this aspect of knowing who I am, what my values and original thoughts are. I feel I just regurgitate any ideas or values I hear externally and that’s just now sort of my identity – or so I say. My identity feels crafted by my external nature and that perhaps isn’t the full picture. Thanks!

Not a suggestion, just.. I feel you. I hope you find yourself.
Non-fiction only or is fiction alright?
*Siddhartha* by Hesse?
*Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance* by Robert Pirsig?
*Brave New World* by Aldous Huxley?
A deeply personal and transformative account of my soul evolution through diverse phases of faith, disbelief, and spiritual rediscovery. Born into the embrace of a fundamentalist Christian church in the South, I paint a vivid portrait of my upbringing within its rigid framework and my subsequent transition into atheism. However, my narrative takes a compelling turn when, amidst the isolating grip of the COVID-19 lockdowns, I confront a profound existential crisis, during the depths of a major depressive episode. This pivotal moment marks the catalyst for a spiritual renaissance and follows my journey into profound self-introspection and personal spiritual awakening. My book candidly traverses the peaks and valleys of my soul journey, inviting readers to explore themes of resilience, spiritual transformation, and the pursuit of your true soul authenticity. Through raw vulnerability and the intricate weaving of my experiences, I guide readers on a path that transcends religious dogma and atheistic skepticism, illuminating the profound revelations of the deeper truth of who and what we are at our core.
