My toddler has been enjoying longer books with multiple stories in one volume and lot of illustrations, things like Frog and Toad and Little Bear. Would love any recommendations of books with lots of beautiful illustrations that would be good for toddler/preschool age? Ideally something enjoyable for us parents too. 😅

“Winnie The Pooh” and its sequel “The House At Pooh Corner” sound like this. Can’t go wrong with the classics!

the most beautifully illustrated children books i have **EVER** come across are by the same author and illustrator. i’m a grown woman who does not have children and i bought them for myself, so i can’t say for sure what age group they are for (and i can’t find the age range on goodreads), but i’m assuming you’ll know whether or not they are age appropriate:

[**Why Not? A Story about Discovering Our Bright Possibilities** by Kobi Yamada](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/207673637-why-not)

i cannot overstate how charming, whimsical, beautiful and sweet not only these books are, but the illustrations are out of this world. absolutely stunning. the illustrator has her own website as well where you can check out her unreleased illustrations.

good luck and i hope you get some good recs on here. 🙂

Anything illustrated by Chris Van Allsburg or Lane Smith

It’s an older book, but Around the World Fairy Tales by Vratislav Št̕ovíček with illustrations by Zdeňka Krefčová is a gorgeous collection of fairy tales. The watercolor illustrations are done in a flat, folk art style, but I think that’s what makes them charming.
