Are there any light hearted books with juicy family drama but is ultimately a pleasant and silly read.
Give me cheating, childhood abuse, evil in laws I don’t care I just want it to be as filled with drama as possible and to have a happy ending. I ultimately just want a really long reddit story that’s funny.
{{A Tangled Web by L.M. Montgomery}} is a really funny book focused on a big family and the chance to inherit a family heirloom. Everyone has to wait a year to find out who gets it, and all the skeletons come out of the closet. There’s drama and romance, but overall, I would say it’s mostly a comedy.
Fannie Flagg’s books are kind of like that too, especially “Standing in the Rainbow,” “Can’t Wait to Get to Heaven,” and “The Whole Town’s Talking.” There’s some dramatic moments, but they’re all very uplifting, and laugh out loud funny.
