So, like a lot of people, i've seen GoT, rewatched some times, and absolutely love it (apart from the ending seasons), but since finishing it i have this question: do i go to the books now?
Because i know Martin doesn't give a shit about writing anymore, seeing that the last one is more than 10 YEARS OLD, so i ask you: is it worth reading those big ass books and risking not knowing their endings? Are they THAT good?

Yes.
It absolutely is.
It’s probably the best written fantasy in terms of accessibility, scope and drama since Rings and Potter.
The only downside is you should prepared to be very disappointed the series isn’t over.
We may never know how it ends.
The new book might be a decade late, the final book won’t come out before the author dies.
I was considering it once upon a time, but when I knew GRRM will not finish the books I gave up
It sucks that its unfinished but as plain old fantasy books they’re really good. I don’t regret reading them at all.
