Not to be judgy or anything but I don't really understand why people love dark romance over other genres that just seem to be better. I don't get the logic behind readers falling for fictional mafia bosses/criminals/Billionaires/Bodyguards/kidnappers who are 6 feet tall, with blue eyes, perfect jawline and obsessed over a girl. Things that are forbidden/illegal/ considered disgusting in real life are considered 'romantic' or 'sexy' in dark romance books, like maybe, stalking and kidnapping a girl.
There are classics/ other books in the market that show an amazing side of people in general. They always tend to send a positive message to the public unlike dark romance y'know? Maybe like The Fault In Our Stars or The Hating Game?
I've read 50 shades of grey and I couldn't read past the first book considering how disgusting it was (for me).
I don't intend to hurt anyone's sentiments here but yeah, I really do appreciate your perspective/feedbacks.
Thank you 🙂

Not every genre is for every person. You don’t like it, that’s fine. Other people are into different things. I don’t understand why people enjoy vanilla sex and sappy books but people still enjoy them anyways. 🤷♀️
