i’ve been reading Haunting Adeline as my introduction to dark romance and oh brother this stinks for so many reasons. I haven’t DNF’d it yet because i’m more than halfway through and I want to at least say i finished it.
I need character depth and development and a good plot with a nice amount of well written smut. No trigger warnings

I’d recommend asking r/romancebooks or r/darkromance
The people there are very welcoming and knowledgeable.
Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre come to mind immediately.
