Books where an abuser gets what they deserve

Hello, I'm in search of a book that depicts a domestic abuser having something awful happen to them. It doesnt have to be a revenge story or even the main portion of the book. I'd prefer if the domestic abuser was a woman but i'll read books where its a man aswell

I recently watched a horror movie which ended with an abusive mother being spared from anything bad happening to her besides light repercussion. The ending also had her getting her kids back, getting back with her ex husband and beginning a new stage of her clearly abusive cycle of life. It left me feeling very amgry and id love a book to alleviate my hate.
