I'm completely lost with what to read, trying to avoid cheesy novels, looking for something preferably non-fantasy, just normal people haha. A good amount of spice or compelling storylines too, just natural, flawed and likeable characters. Sorry if this is too specific!
edit: also between any genders! doesn’t have to be straight characters.

You, and everyone else in the world, should read Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
it is…delightful and unexpected and totally worth reading, regardless of the reasons you have for picking it up.
It defies expectations at every turn, and makes love feel like both something beautifully achievable and yet so frustratingly idyllic. it’s a great book.
