I'm looking to dive into some books that cover world history, with a particular focus on famous wars and conflicts throughout the ages. I'm interested in understanding the causes, key figures, and impacts of these events on global history.
Whether it's ancient history, the World Wars, or more modern conflicts, I'm open to all suggestions. If you have any must-reads that provide deep insights or a fresh perspective on historical events, I'd love to hear about them!

Anything by Adrian Goldsworthy, The Complete Roman Army, The Punic Wars, etc
Ken Follett has published 3 historical novels:
The first is called The Fall of the Giants.
The story begins during the First World War, and the other two continue until 1980.
He is not a great author, his writing is rather simple, but he tells the historical facts well.
