So this may be an unusual request, but I'm really wanting to read a comedic book about a royal family, real or fictional, and all their dramas and the ridiculous stuff that goes on with them.
Bonus points if it's focused on the British Royals (the Queen, Charles-Diana-Camilla, William and Harry, Anne, etc.). No biography or autobiography, I'd like a more fiction type, with witty or tongue-in-cheek or over the top comedy elements, idm as long as they're fun! Think "The Windsors" on Netflix, for an example of a royal comedy.
It doesn't have to be comedic all the way through, I can handle plot and drama, but I'd like it to be funny and lighter on some level too.

The Queen and I by Sue Townsend
Freddy and Fredericka by Mark Helprin is a wacky satire about the British royal family. Fictionalized versions of Charles and Diana are sent on a quest to retake the American “colonies” for Britain.
