I like the dark academia feels & how they focused on things like Greek & Shakespeare. Specifically I like how deep they get into those topics, it wasn’t just them studying it, they broke it down to the reader. I would just read some of shakespeare’s work but i think it would be hard for me to sit there and decipher it all. maybe a book that’s just tragic & deep & obsessive. I don’t want it to feel too modern, the dark academia vibes helped make it feel like a different world than i’m in. in a way I want to read something similar to what they’re studying but make it easier to understand bc unlike them i’m not studying it if that makes sense.
