Something like Precious Bane by Mary Web, Wuthering Heights, The Mill on the Floss by George Eliot, Tess of the d’Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy

Please recommend me something tragic, deep and totally heartbreaking, classic and well written. A good cry alone in a corner with an old book. So I don’t feel so alone in my own personal heartbreak and tragedy of life. Historical settings preferably, anything 1950’s and back. Nothing overly sexual please or cheesy romance!! *I’ve already read everything by Jane Austen (multiple times). lol
