Trying to find a story that is in the first person perspective about someone watching another person and how they react to them manipulating their life without ever seeing them or something similar

I'm making a short story for my Creative Writing class and I'm trying to do something different with a demon or weird deity manipulating a normal human being's world and reality turning it into an endless hell in the perspective of the deity. Is there any short story like that, I know there's ones that do the opposite like I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream.
