I have just started studying Canadian literature. Recently, I read <Survival: A Thematic al Guide to Canadian Literature> by Margaret Atwood and I am very interested in the concept of “victim” in Canadian literature. However, as I searched for information about this book online, I saw some scholars saying that the book is outdated and not good for the image of Canadian literature. Is that true?

Margaret Atwood did an AMA here [you might want to take a look](http://www.reddit.com/r/books/comments/2qprzk/i_am_margaret_atwood_author_of_the_handmaids_tale/) 🙂 [Here’s a link to all of our upcoming AMAs](http://www.reddit.com/r/books/wiki/amafullschedule)

Did they review say how it is out dated?
