I know very little about philosophy, but it really interests me. I want to learn more, but I don't know where to start. Can anyone suggest a good book for a beginner?
_Think_ by Simon Blackburn is often recommended. It’s a broad scale introduction meant to prepare you to read philosophical texts in general.
_The Pig That Wants to Be Eaten_ by Julian Baggini is a great introduction that frames itself through thought experiments.
_Plato and a Platypus Walk Into a Bar_ is a general introduction with a more informal tone, focused on teaching concepts through jokes.
_The Philosophy Book_ by Will Buckingham is a great broad-scale book — less one that you’re meant to read cover-to-cover, and more the sort of thing you flip through to learn a bit about a wide variety of ideas that you could then delve deeper into elsewhere.
