Essentially what the title says; I've read these books many, many times and adore them, but I'd like to hear what y'all have to recommend that go on a bit more.
I'm also quite fond of the "Arrows of the Queen" series, but.. same problem.
I'm a 33 year old horse girl and book hoarder- can any of you recommend well-written horse-centric fantasy reads that aren't for the YA age range?
I've read Black Beauty in nearly all its iterations (Anna Sewell's version, illustrated by Jeffers iirc is my favorite, but nonetheless), the Black Stallion, Smoky the Cow horse, Horse Haven, you name it, I've probably read it.
I read a TON Of genres, but I've not found much about horses that isn't the "Hallmark/cheesy" stuff catered to children.
