That’s the majority of them obviously. But I’m looking for one I will actually enjoy. Well written and good characters are a must. I don’t need aliens, sports, or action shoehorned in.
For reference, I tried to read The Hating Game by Sally Thorne. I thought it was well-written and the humor was good. But I absolutely couldn’t stand the male love interest. I assume Thorne was building him up to have a sympathetic backstory. I didn’t make it that far. Every time he talked I was like, “Bro, you sexually assaulted her in an elevator. She was literally afraid for her life. And you’re throwing a tantrum because some other guy sent her flowers? Fuck all the way off.”
