New here, and first time parent.
What books old and new, big or small would you suggest adding to a home library?
We’re looking to expand our library. Currently we enjoy reading history, nonfiction, and “the classics”. Though with our baby boy we’d like to expand our library as much as possible.
Edit: Could be adult or children’s books! Any genre! Any “must haves” !

[D’Auluaries’ Book of Greek Myths](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/79626.D_Aulaires_Book_of_Greek_Myths) is a staple. If you can find the Norse one get that as well.
For children’s books, things like where the wild things are, caps for sale, goodnight moon, curious George, the hungry caterpillar, paddington bear, and Winnie the Pooh are classics. One of my nostalgic favorites from when I was a kid is called A House is a House for Me. For an older child, I loved the Redwall series as a kid. That could be nice for a library because there’s a lot of them and the set could be nice visually for your library shelves.
As far as adult books, I’d start with whatever *your* favorites are. On our shelves we have some classics, but mostly just the books we’ve read and loved over the years. It’s nice to look at them and remember the feeling of reading those favorites.
