I am looking for horror/thriller/psychological/gore fiction books that are written by women/AFAB/trans writers.
I have been planning my own psychological horror story based on parasocial relationships and sex work.
I have recently read Tell Me I’m Worthless and Brainwyrms by Alison Rumfitt, which are fantastic and need way more traction.
I have also read Eliza Clark’s Boy Parts and Penance, which have changed my life, seriously.
I am waiting for a lovely copy of Frankenstein from my partner which I am excited for.
What other horror, femme novelists should I read? This can be from any period/era.
I want to feel inspired!!!

The Last House on Needless Street by Catriona Ward
The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson (and We Have Always Lived in the Castle but I prefer Hill House)
Dead Silence by S.A. Barnes
The Lost Village by Camilla Sten
To be devoured by Sara Tantlinger
Nuestra parte de noche/Our share of night by Mariana Enriquez (most of her books are translated to English)
