DISCLAIMER: nothing wrong with lgbtq books but it seems that every book I pick up the characters are lgbtq and I can’t put myself INTO the character or relate to the character because I’m straight which bothers me.
(Ex. If the two characters are lesbian) I can’t relate cuz I’m not,it’s hard to explain but y’all don’t worry I am NOT a hater 😭
BACK TO THE POST: I want to find some romance books that are like cruel prince, or six of crows?
I’m not a fan or reading smut, I like that there IS romance in the book and you can tell, I’m fine with whatever tropes cuz I’m new to reading but I don’t want anything thats too long (still willing to read once I get into reading properly) or romance straight from the bat, I just want a nice flow (Yk kinda like a kdrama? Yk climbing up the stairs style ? Idk you get what I mean right?)

Is this a joke? Is that really what breaks your immersion? Do you need a character that’s exactly the same as you??? That’s sad.
What hyperspecific genres are you reading with only LGBTQ characters because just pick up a book from any normal genre and you’ll find the overwhelming majority have straight protagonists
