I am looking for Cozy British Mystery novels/series that are not set in modern times (can be written in any time). Prefer shorter (3-6 hours in audio format) stories and hopefully a series. Doesn't have to be available in audio but would prefer it. Also, doesn't have to be for children but would prefer nothing graphic (sex, language, etc).
In my research I thought the Cherringham series looked good. Checks all my boxes except would prefer a historical setting of the past. Not too picky about time period, just not modern. May give this try anyway from the reviews I've read.
Have listened to a lot of Sherlock Holmes and some Agatha Christie, already.
Would love more suggestions, though.
