I've recently finished a book called "Piranesi" by Susanna Clarke, and I especially liked it for the atmosphere, and thought the premise was very unique and unlike anything I've previously read. I wasn't stoked about the occult part and was a bit disappointed that somehow the plot didn't overall culminate into something more exciting, (maybe some sort of simulation or something like that) but I really loved the book for the unique premise, and beautiful descriptions. Could anyone here recommend something similar?
