A few months ago I tried to find authors similar to ones I'd been reading (and had pretty much exhausted their catalogs). When I requested authors similar to Tana French, several sites suggested Kate Atkinson.
Well, I've checked out two of Kate Atkinson's books and didn't make it past about 50 pages in either one. The stories seemed contrived and uninteresting to me.
Anyone else have suggestions for a fan of Tana French and Laurie R. King? I especially like King's non-Mary Russell stories like Folly.
