I’m a big fan of Hunter S Thompson, Kafka, Huxley, etc, but there’s something about these authors that never quite hits the mark for me. I’ve recently seen this film “Bardo: False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths” and I loved the surreal, dreamy quality that was maintained through the whole thing. I want to find a book that is dark and psychedelic like this, something with a vibe similar to a David Lynch film. Not a huge fan of sci fi so pls don’t recommend PK Dick, I’ve been down that road.
