Looking for any nonfiction suggestions that scared you. I’ve read several climate change books that are obviously terrifying but I’m looking for any recommendations since we’re entering the spooky season. I like to alternate between fiction and nonfiction and I already have a large stack of scary fiction.

The Man from the Train – Bill James and Rachel McCarthy James – true crime

Imperial Life in the Emerald City – Rajiv Chandrasekaran – Journalism about the first six month of the invasion of Iraq.

Into the Raging Sea – Rachel Slade – Journalism about the multiple failures which lead to the disappearance of the El Faro cargo ship and the death of her crew. Lets just say that after I read this, the Boing Scandal was not as much of a surprise.
