Hey there, party people –
I'm an avid reader and a fan of horror films. I especially love quintessential "academic horror"…like, I love almost every A24 film I've seen.
Right now I mostly read fantasy books. For context, I love emotional, character-driven works like The Realm of the Elderlings, The Way of Kings, etc. I also really like dark fairy tales with a good amount of grit and spook.
I'm looking for something to read this fall that somehow combined all these vibes. Bonus points of it's a horror/fantasy. For example, I loved the magic system in Sabriel, but it's not actually scary.
Thank you in advance!
