animal farm – george orwell

i read animal farm at the beginning of the year and i have thought about it almost every single day since. it made me so miserable but i rated it 5 stars. ♡

i don't know what i expected when i started reading it, but it certainly wasn't such a large impact. i stared at the wall for a while once i had finished it. it was such a bleak and defeated feeling. very powerful and moving. i wonder what other books would leave me feeling the same way.
