hello! i want to get back into reading again and i’m hoping to look for things similar to what i’ve read and liked.
japanese contemporary novels that i’ve read and liked:
1. Life Ceremony (Sayaka Murata)
2. Convenience Store Woman (Sayaka Murata)
3. The Lonesome Bodybuilder (Yukiko Motoya)
4. Sweet Bean Paste (Durian Sekagawa)
5. Kitchen (Banana Yoshimoto)
other things i’ve read (not favorites, but fine)
1. Nakano Thrift Shop (Hiromi Kawakami)
2. Before the Coffee Gets Cold (Toshikazu Kawagachi)
ultimately i want eccentric stories that is very crazy and not the usual storylines of novels/short stories like Life Ceremony and The Lonesome Bodybuilder.
thank you in advance!
