I need help finding my next few novels…I like classic lit, novels that are dark, witty and a resorting theme for me is dystopian for some reason… I feel sometimes like i have read the best already and it’s so hard to find that next best read…
— Here are a few of my favorites:
Frankenstein – Mary Shelly
The Picture of Dorian Grey – Oscar Wilde
Waiting for the Barbarians – Coetzee
Brave new world – Aldous Huxley
Cats Cradle – Kurt Vonnegut
the island of dr moreau – hg Wells
War of the worlds – hg Wells
No exit – John Paul Sartre
1984
— Here’s a few books I’m thinking of reading next:
Steppenwolf – Herman Hesse
The stranger – Camus
Play it as it lays – Joan diddian
Heart of darkness – Joseph Conrad
Childhoods end – Clarke
The metamorphoses & the trial – Kafka
Blindness – Jose maramago
The memory police –
Perfume – Suskind
Age of iron – Coetzee
Disgrace – Coetzee
— Which if any should I read from my list and would you recommend any others? Thanks so much!

Slaughterhouse 5 if you haven’t already read it
Definitely Kafka.
Perhaps “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” By Philip K. Dick. It’s the novel that Blade Runner is based on.
I also like “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest”
The Sheltering Sky by Paul Bowles
