I'm going through something right now with my brother. We are so close, and he is also in love with someone, and I'm feeling those feelings of not being the person he texts, when something good or bad happens to him, first. Wondering if any book captures this specific feeling, between biological or chosen brother-sister duos. TIA!

Well, I mean, there’s *Ada* by Nabokov but that might be taking it too far?
This isn’t a brother sister relationship but Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano goes through the relationship between 4 sisters over a span of time. It really made me wish I had more siblings.
I also think of The Great Circle by Maggie Shipstead which has a few other characters whose POV you get, but two of the main characters are a brother and sister who have a close relationship but due to circumstances, become estranged. It spans decades and goes back and forth between a couple of timelines so may be more sweeping then you are looking for right now.
Greta & Valdin by Rebecca K Reilly fits your specific feeling to a t!
Flowers in the Attic
Brother and Sister Enter the Forest by Richard Mirabella
The Archive of Alternate Endings by Lindsey Drager
The Verifiers by Jane Pek
The Mill on the Floss by George Eliot.
Complicated through the magic of time travel (and for other reasons) – {{The Impossible Lives of Greta Wells by Andrew Sean Greer}}.
Riptides by Kirsten Alexander
It’s about a brother and sister that commit and hIt and run, and the fall out.
To be honest I DNF’d because it was but bleak for me at the moment. Definitely fits the bill.
Wideacre by Philipa Gregory ☠️
The flowers in the attic series by VC Andrews.
