My evenings are so quiet since my boyfriend left, I’m a mom to a 6 year old and 6 month old so I’m looking for some quality downtime where I can put my phone away and relax instead of doom scrolling 😂

Before my relationship I loved to read but I changed myself and decided to not carry on doing the things I loved anymore out of fear of losing my boyfriend. Well turns out I wasn’t enough anyway…

I’m not sure really type of book I’m looking for but open to any suggestions! 🙂

    Thank you x

i recently started reading again and i’ve just finished “the wedding of the year” by jill mansell and it was amazing, real feel good book with enough little twists to keep you hooked

If you’re looking for a post-breakup book to really get hooked on, here are some of my top picks! I highly recommend using the Audible app if you enjoy listening to books while multitasking—many of these are even narrated by the authors themselves!

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson

Can’t Hurt Me by David Goggins

Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter by 50 Cent

The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz

The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman

Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl

      Models by Mark Manson

      Will by Will Smith

Shook One by Charlamagne Tha God

      Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey

      Happy reading!

i’m not sure if you’re hoping for something more plot driven or character driven….. but i think you might enjoy writers & lovers by lily king!! it’s literary fiction but really reads pretty easy & keeps you engaged. it centers around themes of agency, grief, aging, pursuit of joy/fullfilment etc…. i’m hoping to reread, which i rarely do!

    4. The Bear and the Nightengale by Katherine Arden comes to mind as a fun read. Maybe also The Mercies by Kiran Millwood Hargrave.
