I've recently started collecting the Puffin Clothbound Classics. They look much prettier than the Penguin clothbounds, and I don't mind them being primarily aimed at children. I'd love to work towards all of them but I ran into an issue.

When randomly researching one of them (I look up books when I'm bored), I came across an old Reddit reply to some post that I can't find anymore, saying some of the Puffins have been edited or abridged. However, I cannot for the life of me figure out if it's true, and if so, which.

I would like to read the originals of these classics, not versions that are edited. I was hoping someone here would know if/which books from this collection contain original texts rather than modern edits or abridged versions? (An exception would be the book containing works of Shakespeare in terms of language).

For reference to remember and for clarity, I'm talking about this collection: https://www.penguin.co.uk/series/PCC/puffin-clothbound-classics?page=1
