Asking for a book suggestion:
Not the usual student's crush for the teacher (or for whatever adult figure).
A deep love sentiment, the full-fledged romantic one with all the nuances (attraction too). And so the deluded conviction that this time, with all the (supposed) chemistry, it could work despite… all the rest, the whole world.
Not reciprocated (I'd rather not have a creepy guy falling for it the slightest). And the love interest has to handle the trouble this brings because such relationship is impossible on many levels.
In Call Me by Your Name they are 17-24. I haven't read it yet but my understanding is that it's portrayed as a possibility (or more, maybe it's fine, don't spoil the story!) So let's ramp it up and say 16-25 for making it a clear no-go, as an example.
What's important is the accurate depiction of the love feeling, making it the same flavor as the one in the best match and legitimate situations. Like a timeline problem, sort of. And those feelings lead to delusion and delusion leads to action: possibly taking steps to initiate something, or at least planning to.
Genders don't matter.
No sex, no predator, no rape (statutory or not), no child abuse, etc. Thanks.
