Hi,
Looking for a book suggestion as a gift for a close friend of mine. He’s not a big reader, but I’d love to give him something that really grabs his interest.
My friend is very interested in politics, especially European politics, but he also follows American politics closely. He did enjoy reading “1984” by George Orwell, and he really enjoyed the movie Civil War by Alex Garland. I’m thinking a book with a political theme, maybe something dystopian or a political thriller, could be right up his alley.
Do you have any great suggestions for a book that might captivate him,I’m looking for something thought-provoking and engaging. I’m open to all suggestions!
Thanks in advance for the help!

Animal Farm, George Orwell
The Trial, Franz Kafka
A Clockwork Orange, Anthony Burgess
Fahrenheit 451, Ray Bradbury
Brave New World, Aldous Huxley
The Handmaid’s Tale, Margaret Atwood
Not fiction, but Samuel Huntington’s Clash of Civiliations is a great (though a bit outdated, but still interesting and thought inspiring) read for anyone who’s looking into global politics.
