Thank you to anyone who offered me suggestions here! I know it is a tall order that something so fun and delicious also be a super well written mystery with clues to find and solve, while also funny, and involve well developed characters!

On your recommendations, I have ordered Holly Homes Cozy Culinary Mystery, Cream Caramel and Murder. I have Krista Davis, Domestic Diva Steals a Chocolate Kiss, in my cart right now, along with a Cleo Coyle Coffeehouse Mystery, A Shot in the Dark. At the last second, I saw the recommendation for The Butter Did It, by Phyllis C Richman, and I added it to my cart, too. I will let everyone know how they go.

The Big Over Easy looks interesting… I am also looking at the Bakeshop Mysteries, but they might be a bit too light on the mystery and plot for me, maybe a bit too heavy on the pastries and paramours! I read a sample, it reminded me a lot of the Joanne Fluke series that I really did not enjoy reading. I was hoping the writing would get better but for me, it was not my cup of tea (the made for tv movies are a little better though!) I also tried Louise Penny books in the past, but they were also not as I had hoped. The mysteries to solve had some highly improbable staging and the characters were stereotypes and not that likable.

I'm so happy to receive everyone's suggestions! Please continue to share any recommendations! I appreciate it so much! 📚
