Soooo owing to some unforeseen circumstances around my college degree, I recently ended up taking a course about UK history that it turns out I will never need again ever in my life, nor will my university give me any credits for it (the ONE TIME you get a good grade on something!).
Therefore I'm now left with a huge pile (well, huge in non-history-nerds' terms) of absolutely pointless information about the kings of England that's taking up way too much real estate in my head. I'm not even British, or from an english speaking country. I'm not a history major. None of this info is of any use to me. But it's not going away anymore, it's like they awakened some hidden interest in me and now I can't stop lol.
The only way to put this to any good use it seems to me is to start reading novels with a historical or fantasy-historical setting that will give me some fun misinformation, or real information or a mix of both, to add to this pile in my head. Or at least make me go "oooh, look, there's someone I recognise!"
Anyone from Ecgberht to Charles III is fair game. Thanks in advance.
