Think of those stories about anarchists and punks and other weirdos that would end up in someone's smokey loft at 4am talking politics and culture and gossip and random shit, people that care about art and reject traditional norms, and where cool stuff would happen, like bands being formed.
I am looking for a book that offers a glimpse of that lifestyle, and it would be especially great to see a character move from a more 'isolated' situation into this kind of community-based alternative lifestyle.
