hello everyone!
two of my favourite books of all time are donna tartt’s the goldfinch and barbara kingsolver’s demon copperhead, and i think the reason i like those books so much is because they’re coming of age novels but not as light and “innocent” as most, since the protagonists endure very difficult childhoods and go down very dangerous paths as they grow up.
it’s really interesting to me to read about how rough environments shape young minds and lead them down dark paths, so does anyone have book recommendations specifically with the same vibe as the two mentioned above?
