Hi all,
My mum has hit 60 years of age, and after separating from father my few years ago and now selling her business, I think she’s struggling with both direction and age. Is there any great books on being optimistic about later life, re-inventing yourself, etc. Something up-beat and not actually addressing old age would be perfect.
Thanks,

Women by Bukowski
The characters are younger than her but starting over
Evvie Drake Starts Over
Confessions of a 40 Something F***up
Witches abroad by Terry Pratchett. The power of older women and a ton of laughs
A Man Called Ove sounds like the perfect book for her. But to be honest I think she might be better off reformatting her life by something like travelling and trying new challenges rather than just reading. This is the opinion of this old guy because this is what made me the contented person I am today
