Are there any books you would suggest about sheepherders in the American west? I know most of the books I've seen are told more from the cowboy perspective.
I have read Robert Laxalt's Sweet Promised Land.
I would like to find a book (fiction or non-fiction) that deals with the day to day life of the Basque sheepherder. It sounds like they would be out in the wilderness for the season with the herd and their dog.
