    A little bit about myself

-mid 20’s looking to expand my reading breadth

-enjoy genres of self help, romance, action, fiction

-Love a contemporary setting but I often read fantasy and fictional worlds because that’s what I come across most often

-Books/Authors I’ve thoroughly enjoyed: Hunger Games, Where the Forest Meets the Stars, anything by Emily Henry, The Five Trials (series)

-Other Tidbits: I’ve read the first books of ACOTAR and Crescent City and while they were good, I left wanting more from the characters. I do read mostly romance and self help but am open to more

-Current Goal is to read more intelligent books but also still read from what i enjoy. Also looking to expand into classic stories like I’m currently ready “Call of the Wild”

-Current Active Reads: Call of the Wild, All That Man Is, Mistborn, Way of Superior Man

I really enjoy stories that have great interpersonal drama that have a great payoff like two characters just don’t see eye to eye but then make up or come to an understanding. Just love a great story and characters with DEPTH. Recommend whatever you think would be a good read for me.

    1. Hiya!

So for starters I would recommend “Please look after mom” by Kyung-Sook Shin, which I kinda view it as a self-help book even though it’s more about understanding your parents better. Still, this book definitely changed me as a person and the way I view life now so I think it’s a great read if you’re in the mood for something like that.

As for other genres like fantasy, sci-fi or romance which I’m also a fan of, I would recommend these ones:

      – the Red Rising Saga by Pierce Brown: really good world-building and politics

      – The Witcher series by Andrzej Sapkowski (the tv series is great as well)

      – a bit controversial this one but I really liked the writing style and the message overall: “Call me by your name” by Andre Aciman

      – “Beach Read” and “Funny Story” by Emily Henry are great if you’re looking for some romance

      – The Empyrean series by Rebecca Yarros (I know you’ve probably seen it all over the internet and honestly I was a bit sceptical to read this one as well but it’s definitely worth the hype)

These are just some I could think of right now but I hope you enjoy them! 🙂
