- The Hunt for Brianna Maitland – Greg Overacker (missing person case)
- I'll Be Gone In The Dark – Michelle McNamara (golden state killer)
- Unmasked – Paul Holes (investigating the golden state killer)
- Green River Runs Red – Ann Rule (green river killer)
- Inside the Cell: The Dark Side of Forensic DNA – Erin E. Murphy (scientific & legal issues w DNA)
- Unsolved Child Murders – Emily Thompson ( some of these cases have since been solved such as the boy in the box, others are still unsolved such as Amy Mihaljevic)
- A Stolen Life – Jaycee Dougard (trigger warning CSA, child abduction written by the surviving victim)
- True Crime Addict: How I Lost Myself In The Mysterious Disappearance of Maura Murray – James Renner (this is a good read but not the most credible source for information on the case, do your own research)
