Book that has a lot of drama but in a well written way

I would ignore the fact that a million books could fill that description, and say that I’m in need of some well written book, with a good plot and focus on character development, but with loads of drama, it could be between lovers, friends, anything. There’s examples such as classics like Wuthering Heights or the Great Gatsby that does have fill this description, either way modern books that could be alike as the seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo or books as GOT, Gossip girl and PLL books has many, many juicy drama wouldn’t be a bad recommendation.
