I’m reading Murder on the Orient Express at the moment and wishing I could be reading it while on a train trip through Europe. What is a book you’ve read and the place you would recommend reading it?
Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil in a big old house in downtown Savannah, Georgia

I read part of Hunchback of Notre Dame while sitting in front of Notre Dame.

I’ll be reading “Bound for Glory” by Woody Guthrie on my next train ride to Boston.
“The Historian” by Elizabeth Kostova is another favorite, since a large part of the book involves traveling, frequently by train.
“Burning Your Boats” by Angela Carter is another good train ride for me, although the stories aren’t really about traveling. It’s just one of those books that make a good traveling companion.
