I became disabled by long Covid a couple of years ago, after having lived a healthy and active life, and I felt shocked to discover how ableist our society is, how inaccessible it is, how hidden disability is from our society, how many ableist micro aggressions I receive on a day to day basis from well-meaning people, and how much internalised ableism I have.

This is something I'd love to explore in more depth, ie the nuances and complexities of ableism, such as ableist micro aggressions, benevolent ableism, internalised ableism, able-bodied people's distress intolerance to disability, etc. I'd also love books by women or women of colour to gain a more intersectional perspective.
