My previous post was deleted because of politics. But the main target wasn’t political discussion. So, let’s try to avoid it and make this discussion dedicated to literature.
In my queer novel THE MINING BOYS (which you can read here: www.ikharkow.com) I describe how 2 guys escaped the war. After I finished it I was surprised that I described the most useless experience I’ve ever had – how to survive during the war.
The book has two storylines: one is about escaping war and the other is about dates in Poland and Austria. I came to a conclusion that the worst date ever is much better than one day in a worn-torn country. But the war is still going on.
So, do you believe that anti-war books can stop wars?
