I wonder because all women around me say they cried at the end of a book and I decided to give it a go and didn't feel any emotion. Recommend me a sad book.
It’s not the book. It’s just us not being very crying people. At most, I get a little teary-eyed. **Duma Key** by Stephen King was one that had that effect on me at some point.

Or so my wife tells me. I’ve never had a book make me cry either 🤷🏻♂️
In saying that, some of the saddest books I’ve read are
– the book thief
– the tattooist of auschwitz
– the boy in the striped pyjamas
(Hmmm – all Holocaust related books…)

Maybe not cry but Let Me Stand Alone by Rachel Corrie comes close could never finish it as i know bow it ends.
