Trying to summon the fellow gay as hell book fanatics with this post.

Here's the situation: During the summer vacation, my parents got a library card for a public library in the city we were in. Even though we're not there anymore, it's useful because we can still borrow ebooks online.

I got really excited to borrow and indulge in my silly gay stories, BUT here's the problem. They're homophobic and transphobic as hell (ew stinky ik), and it's one library card for everyone, so they'll probably be able to see which books I borrow.

The good thing is that they don't give two shits about reading anything in the actual book, they're too tired for that at this point. However, all the books I've found make it so obvious from the cover and description: rainbows plastered all over the cover, the cover art is the couple aggressively kissing, and the blurb goes something like "This GAY character and his GAY adventures…"

I don't have anything against it, I like it when authors are open about it myself, but in this situation it's like are you trying to get me outed??

Rant aside, I'm not very picky about recommendations, but I do prefer mlm stories personally. Slice of life/coming of age/teen/YA genre is my favorite, though fantasy is perfectly fine too. Also, no major character death please. 🙂

    Any recommendations are very appreciated!

The Mars House or The Half Life of Valery K by Natasha Pulley, or The Long Way to A Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers (all very good, have read). Also House on the Cerulean Sea (haven’t read, let me know)
