I'm looking for a book that is specifically dreamlike, surreal, gorgeous, not necessarily horror- but not not horror.
I'm generally a dark fiction reader and I need a little levity without overcorrecting to fluff.
Psychedelic/surreal concepts, queer characters, philosophy, and symbolism are all pluses.
I've read a lot of Murakami and like the style he uses so that's a good benchmark, but I'm looking for something other than his work rn.
